The Black Label Balsa - Sand Man - Custom Balsa Crankbait is built after an early 2009 version of the Zoom WEC Sand Flea crankbait that the late Ed chambers built. Cliff Pace bought one of Ed Chambers duplicating machines, so the Sand Man body is cut on the same machine that Ed Chambers used to cut his baits. Cliff modeled the Sand Man after an early 2009 model of the WEC Sand Flea Crankbait, which I feel had a better action than the later versions of the WEC Sand Flea or Flea. The Black Label Balsa Sand Man Crankbait is hand crafted and painted by MLF Pro Tour Angler and Bassmaster Classic Champion Cliff Pace. The Sand Man has a Thumbnail circuit board bill with the line tie coming through the bill, Just like the Zoom WEC Sand Flea and it has the same desirable deep body roll, wobble and tail kick as the Zoom WEC Sand Flea. The Sand Man is a great search bait along flats and shallow drop offs. It comes through wood cover and rock very well and has a very unique body roll, wobble and tail kick. The Sand Man runs nose down, which makes it perfect to run across sand and gravel flats and rocky points.
